Project Challenge
Cisco’s networking technology documents feature dense professional jargon, rigorous logical structure and extremely strict accuracy requirements. Ordinary MTPE teams always face several tough difficulties. Firstly, machine translation often confuses similar network technical terms, leading to misleading descriptions that may cause equipment operation faults. Secondly, automatic conversion can not distinguish Hong Kong and Taiwan language habits, resulting in awkward text that local IT practitioners find hard to read. Thirdly, product updates are frequent and word volume surges periodically; quick delivery often leads to inconsistent terminology and scattered styles. Besides, concise UI text has tight character limits, which demands refined compression on the basis of guaranteeing technical correctness.
